A almost finished Kash and Javak embroidment, waiting to get the mirrors sewed on. One of the most detailed embroidment, with a price that seems to increase for each day! An important investment for most balochi women.
Yeah, there is a noticable difference in the embroiding styles. This embroidment is made in zahedan,(kash and javak) and that's a classic dotch. I have seen some pakistani embroidments in zahedan but I can't tell anything more about pakistani dotch,(since I'm haven't experienceD pakistani-balochi dotchs, I'm afraid I will give you wrong info!) but I hope there are someone who can tell me what kind of difference you guys have seen in pakistani-balochi dotchs and iranian-balochi dotchs? Hina can maybe share her thoughts :D But even in iranian balochistan we see different styles depending in which area you live. PPl in iranshahr prefer the whole traditional dotch, while in zahedan there is an attraction to the latest, and the detailed dotchs.
